Cortland Rugby is a proud recipient of the USA Rugby National Guard Kit. We hope to have our new co-branded uniforms, apparel and equipment by the Spring Upstates. I have ensured that all agreements and policies are approved by SUNY Cortland and the Rec. Sports Dept, therefore during our first practice, (Feb. 5th) we will choose our new jerseys.
Cortland Rugby had its first practice with 46 players. We lost six seniors to an array of different circumstances, student teaching, ect., but we can not be happier with the recent turnout. Alot of great athletes; speed, size, agility, which is typical at C-State. I look forward to coaching and watching these young prospects develop. The Spring is the best time for new players to come out. We will enter at least TWO teams in every tournament this Spring, allowing for alot of playing time, while practice will provide the skills and knowledge necessary to learn the game.
